Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award to recognize Outstanding Supporting Performance in Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She attended the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before attempting TV and movie role. Anna received her breakthrough in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for 29 episodes of Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late 1990's. Anna was later selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. The mid-2000's saw her was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. The show was recast in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully was one of her roles. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four-part audio show that premiered in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in his relationship with Skyler are mirrored in the show.
