Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country music singer-songwriter whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread popularity in the first decade of the 20th century. Swift began showing an enthusiasm for the industry of music at a young age. Her career progressed rapidly through the play of kids and her first appearance on stage in crowds of people. In 2011, Swift aged 11 at the time, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball match. In the year following, she started writing her own songs. Swift had taken her inspirations from Shania Twain's music as well as her band the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm in country music composed her original songs to reflect her experience with alienation. When she was 13 Swift's parents decided to sell their property in Pennsylvania in order to relocate towards Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time in courting the country music labels within the vicinity of Nashville.
